The five questions that separate them
- Where does the catalog come from? Ask whether setup uses staged shared data or an account-specific supplier feed, and whether the app clearly distinguishes the two. Lustriel starts with staged shared data and supports an optional authorised account connection.
- Do you pay per sale? General customizers charge 1.5–1.9% of each order. On a $5,000 ring that's $95 — per order. Flat pricing wins at jewelry order values.
- What happens after "Add to Cart"? Lustriel carries the full configuration — shape, size, metal, stones, and engraving — into Shopify for merchant review. Supplier ordering remains a separate merchant action.
- Can shoppers choose more than diamonds? Lab-grown, coloured gemstones, moissanite, and pearls are where margins and Gen-Z demand live. Two of the builders above support diamonds only.
- How long until you're live? Trials of 1–7 days tell you something. Look for guided onboarding, a real free plan, and one-click theme setup — you should see your own catalog configured on your own store the same afternoon.
Our obvious bias, stated plainly
Lustriel is our product, and this page exists so jewelers searching for a ring builder find a comparison that cites its sources. Where a competitor is genuinely stronger we say so — GemFind's JewelCloud aggregates more loose-diamond feeds than we do, and Keyideas' free plan preceded ours. Our bet is simple: if your business runs on a Stuller account, the builder should be Stuller-native, flat-priced, and free to try properly.
